We were referred to Mr Naqui following my son injuring his arm with a knife. He had been originally treated at our local hospital but was subsequently complaining of issues with his hand and arm. Mr Naqui listened intently to our concerns and then asked a number of questions to ensure he fully understood. He then queried whether my son had been prescribed antibiotics following his visit to hospital, to which we replied he had not. He promptly suggested that these be obtained to minimise infection in light of the knife being deemed to be dirty. He examined the wound and suggested that his symptoms were trauma related and would subside but if my son was still experiencing issues in a few days, an ultrasound would be required to rule out damage to a tendon. Mr Naqui was knowledgeable and professional in his approach and made us feel at ease throughout the whole process. He did not use convoluted medical terminology unless referring to something specific but then immediately followed this up with a simple explanation. I have no hesitation in recommending him to anybody with hand and wrist issues as he really does know his stuff! A commendable surgeon.

Welcomed with a smile on first meeting. Inspired great confidence and satisfaction on first diagnosis. Operation was arranged very quickly, and took place with great skill and minimal pain. 3 months later, I had regained almost 100% of my wrist facilities. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Naqui, and his staff at Spire Hospital Manchester. It was my good fortune in being recommended to him.

I was involved in an accident in July, sustaining several serious injuries including a complex fracture to my right hand and broke bones in my right arm/wrist. I was extremely fortunate that Mr Naqui was the doctor who was on duty that day. He is an excellent surgeon, his care and kind manner are second to none. He was so personable and genuinely interested in my recovery - a very humbling experience. He is pragmatic and judicious in his recommendations and advice - he did not recommend further surgery as there would be no significant improvement with one finger's movement and I am content with this - he is the expert. His medical expertise and experience are unquestionable and I am very grateful he was on duty that day. I owe him and his team an enormous debt of gratitude and will always speak highly of him. What an outstanding role model for doctors and surgeons. His family should be immensely proud of him.

I was diagnosed by Mr Naqui with manifelt syndrome in the thumb of my left hand. This made everyday tasks almost impossible and an operation was performed to reconstruct the tendon from my 3rd finger to my thumb. 11 weeks on and I now have a reasonable (and expected) range of motion in my thumb with which I am delighted. Mr Naqui was extremely personable and reassured me with a great deal of patience and confidence. Alongside his wonderful Physio team, Laura Edwards, they have achieved the promised result. I extend my thanks to Mr Naqui for his excellent and thoughtful care.
